ADHD

Joshua has never been formally tested for any learning disability or behavioral disorder.  Kenny and I have just battled many different things with Joshua that we haven't needed to with our other two boys.  As a former teacher of students with many various disabilities, I have an idea of what *might* be going on.  I don't want to label Joshua with anything (as we've never sought testing), but I have wanted to find answers and solutions so that our relationship (mine with Joshua) will not be hindered but strengthened and redeemed.  In order to research, I've matched what I'm seeing with some disorders but am in no way diagnosing my son.

It has been (and probably will be) a very difficult road... lots of tears, questions, searching, failing, and constantly being at the end of my rope.  I know I cannot "fix" Joshua and that I'm not responsible for how he lives his life. That rests solely on the hands of a mighty, sovereign, and capable God who created Joshua and has a perfect plan for his life. I'm forever grateful for His saving grace... both for me and Joshua.  My prayer is that God will show me and Joshua His ways (which are so much higher than my own), that we would always have a strong relationship, and that Joshua would learn to turn these weaknesses into strengths and use it all for the glory of God!

I am seeing tendencies of: ADD, ADHD, ODD, impulsivity, sensory, and my goodness this boy has enough energy to fill the universe!
